epoxy floor coatings - for garages, etc.
Epoxy coatings are generally used to coat floor surfaces such as garages and gymnasiums. It's wherever there are high traffic areas that will get damaged easily and look bad over a short period of time. We can professionally apply this for you. Many people try to do this themselves with various kits on the market but, most will admit that the grade of product and tools you need to do the job right the first time are just as expensive, if not more expensive to do alone. So, you many as well call us, the professionals to do it right for you.
Garage Floors: We offer the best and most affordable options for your garage floor. Your garage is an important part of your home and if it's not done properly could lower the value of your home. If it's done properly, it will advance the value of your home. Simple as that. Not everyone goes beyond the concrete flooring in their garage but you know that there are other uses for your garage than just housing a person. Some make this space into a work room, an office or a spare room for guests or with a normally built in private entrance, that can be used as a rental.
What Epoxy Coatings Do: Epoxy coatings provide a tough durable coating to any floor. It's there to resist dirt and debris. It will repel water in small amounts and provides easy clean up. It will reduce the amount of dirt you track into the garage. You will be given a nice variety of colors and patterns to choose from so your garage will sport a more elegant look. It will give a new appearance to old garage floors and will hide cracks and uneven ground of the older garages. Flooring of any kind that is concrete will settle with the house causing waves and pits. This is unsightly and dangerous. With a new epoxy coating, there is hope! The floor will look glossy and clean. It will also clean very well and you can buff and polish which you really couldn't do with concrete. Remember too that this is typically the most used entrance of the home. So, you may as well make it the most attractive entrance as well. You'll also find that once it's done, you'll feel it's too good to let go and you'll end up keeping it more tidy and clean than a concrete floor!
Process: The process is a bit messy so, you'll have to prepare the area and make sure you aren't going to be doing much in any rooms directly adjacent to the opening of the room to be done nearest to the opening into the main house because the smell is quite strong. We will need your vehicle and everything touching the floor to be removed prior to the start of the project. Any valuables you don't want ruined or impregnated with the smell should be moved as well. Then we will begin by washing and scrubbing the floor. Anything such as stains or sticky residue we will certainly be able to remove it with professional grade detergent and chemical removers which are also Eco friendly. Most of the time, in the case of their being a sealant already on the floor we will use a high powered sand blaster or pressure washer to get it off. This is why you don't attempt to do an epoxy sealant yourself if you're untrained. If you mess up--it takes more than just a little elbow grease to get it off!
Application: Then the application is the last part which may take place the next day. First the primer is applied and left to sit for several hours. In high humidity regions such as California, there is a chance it may dry a bit slower. This process needs a little patients because it is something that needs to be done and done right or the floor doesn't stick in the smooth attractive way that it should and we, like you will accept no less!
